It’s a known issue that streaming giant, Netflix is losing its subscribers base. Also, it is trying different ways to get more and more subscribers. In order to avoid password-sharing on its platform it has rolled out a new feature that gives users the ability to transfer Netflix profiles. Let’s know this feature in details.
This new feature called profile transfer will enable Netflix users to transfer their recommendations, My Lists, saved games and other settings. Moreover, It can done only when users plan to create a new subscription.
This is crucial step from the Netflix that will encourage more people to get new subscription instead of depending on others. Earlier Netflix has tested a different feature in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru. In which users can share their accounts with others by paying a little extra charge.
The idea of company was same, to restrict activity of password sharing that is against Netflix terms of service. As the streaming giant does not allow password sharing outside the household. But it is not sure when this feature will be available to all users.

Coming back to this new profile transfer feature, it is now being rolled out to every user worldwide. After availability of this feature users of the platform will get the notification through email about the same. Moreover, “Transfer Profile” option will be present under the profile settings. In addition to that this feature can be disabled in account settings if not required.
Recently Netflix has announced ad-supported affordable plans which will go live by November 3. This ad-supported plan will become active in US, Australia, France, Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, Brazil, Korea, Mexico, Spain, and the UK.
