And now the Google is working upon Android Auto feature and updating it. Mainly there are many changes for the user interface, and it now looks like more modern than it was before. Also, the tech giant is bringing more casting capabilities and video capabilities in the front.
In simple words your car’s infotainment system is going to be more feature rich. As per the Google, the new Android Auto interface gives priorities to 3 major functions that are mostly used by the drivers. And they are navigation, media, and messages.
“This summer, Android Auto will roll out a brand new interface that will help you get directions faster, control your media more easily and have more functionality at your fingertips”, Google said.
Better Android Auto for Cars:
Android Auto will now have a split-screen mode for better focus on the above-mentioned features. “With split screen mode, now standard across all screen types and sizes, you’ll have access to your most-used features all in one place-no need to return to your home screen or scroll through a list of apps. With your navigation and media always on, you won’t have to worry about missing your next turn while changing your favourite commute podcast,” Google said.
And the most excellent thing about this is that the interface will adapt to various screen sizes, like in portrait and widescreen mode along with others. So, it is now clear that Android Auto can adjust itself in any screen irrespective of the display size.
Not only this the Google Assistant will now also give more contextual suggestions like playing recommended music, suggested replies to messages and so on.”In addition to using your voice, you can now quickly message and call favorite contacts with just one tap and reply to messages by simply selecting a suggested response on the screen” Google said.
Moreover, those cars that come with Android Automotive OS, they will be able to access more video streaming services alongside of YouTube. And they are Tubi and Epix. Not only this, but such models will also enable you to cast your content from the phone to the screen as well as let you browse the web from the car display.
